EFEKTIVITAS REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION DITINJAU DARI KEMAMPUAN LITERASI MATEMATIS DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain one pretest-posttes. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SD Negeri 206 Limbong Wara. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 206 Limbong Wara. Teknik penentuan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes literasi matematis, tes hasil belajar, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan infrensial untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematika dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan RME (1) meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dari rata-rata 31,3 meningkat menjadi 74,9 (2) hasil belajar matematika siswa meningkat dari rata-rata 42,4 menjadi 75,5 (3) secara signifikan rata-rata gain kemampuan literasi matematika lebih tinggi dari 0,30 dan rata-rata kemampuan literasi matematika melebihi 65 (4) secara signifikan rata-rata gain hasil belajar matematika lebih tinggi dari 0,30 dan rata-rata hasil belajar matematika melebihi 65. Secara umum penerapan pendekatan RME lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan RME dapat menjadi alternatif yang relevan dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.
