ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN STRATEGIC COMPETENCE SISWA DALAM KECAKAPAN MATEMATIS PADA MATERI PROGRAM LINEAR DITINJAU DARI GAYA KOGNITIF

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriftif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang ditujukan untuk menganalisis kemampuan strategic competence siswa kelas XII IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Luwu Utara pada materi program linear ditinjau dari gaya kognitif siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Luwu Utara yang berjumlah 2 orang berdasarkan gaya kognitif, yaitu subjek field dependent (SFD) dan subjek field independent (SFI). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian test GEFT terlebih dahulu untuk memilih siswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependent dan field independent, selanjutnya kedua subjek yang telah terpilih diberikan tes kecakapan matematis yang dilanjutkan dengan sesi wawancara secara individu guna memperoleh data yang valid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan strategic competence siswa berdasarkan gaya kognitif dalam menyelesaikan materi program linear telah memenuhi keempat indikator dari strategic competence yaitu: (a) Memahami situasi serta kondisi dari suatu permasalahan, (b) Menyajikan masalah secara matematik dalam berbagai bentuk, (c) Menemukan hubungan matematika yang ada didalam suatu masalah dan (d) Menemukan solusi dari permasalahan yang diberikan, untuk subjek field dependent (SFD) sedangkan untuk subjek field independent (SFI) memenuhi indikator yaitu: Memahami situasi serta kondisi dari suatu permasalahan, menemukan hubungan matematika yang ada didalam suatu masalah dan menemukan solusi dari permasalahan yang diberikan.
