Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana tingkat kebutuhan model permainan scrabble sederhana, mendeskripsikan desain pengembangan model permainan scrabble sederhana untuk mengetahui bagaiman tingkat kevalidan serta kepraktisan dalam pengembangan model permainan scrabble sederhana dan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak. Subjek penelitian melibatkan peneliti, validator, guru TK serta anak didik. Model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini. Produk yang akan dihasilkan pada penelitian ini adalah sebuah buku panduan tentang permainan scrabble sederhana yang digunakan untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak usia dini. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan yang telah dilakukan ditemukan bahwa dibutuhkannya suatu model pembelajaran yang baru, kreatif serta menarik yang bisa digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak. Desain dari model permainan scrabble sederhana akan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan dan didapatkan hasil bahwa perlu suatu produk yaitu buku pedoman tentang pengembangan permainan scrabble sederhana untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia dini. Tingkat kevalidan terhadap isi dan kepraktisan buku pedoman model permainan scramble sederhana untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak usia dini di TK menunjukkan bahwa penilaian yang sudah dilakukan oleh validator terhadap perangkat yang akan digunakan sudah valid dan layak untud diimplementasikan. Temuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tingkat kebutuhan dalam pengembangan model permainan scrabble sederhana untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan dilakukan melalui analisis tingkat kebutuhan guru dan analisis tingkat kebutuhan anak didik diperoleh data bahwa masih kurang
