Pengaruh Penerapan Game Edukasi LOOKAA (Look and Answer) Materi Berbagai Pakaian terhadap Pemahaman Vocabulary Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 1 Pringtulis

Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada pentingnya penguasaan kosakata (vocabulary) sebagai dasar utama dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di sekolah dasar. Hasil observasi di SD Negeri 1 Pringtulis menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa kelas V masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang bersifat konvensional dan berpusat pada guru, sehingga siswa cenderung pasif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan inovasi pembelajaran yang menarik dan sesuai dengan karakteristik anak usia sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan game edukasi LOOKAA (Look and Answer) terhadap pemahaman vocabulary siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Pringtulis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Pringtulis yang berjumlah 10 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes pemahaman vocabulary yang disusun berdasarkan indikator kemampuan mengenal, memahami, dan menggunakan kosakata dalam konteks yang sesuai. Uji Paired Sample T-Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05) yang berarti ada perbedaan yang berarti antara kemampuan awal dan akhir peserta didik. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media game edukasi dapat meningkatkan fokus belajar, keterlibatan siswa, serta membantu memperkuat pemahaman kosakata secara lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional.
