PENGUATAN KEMAMPUAN MATHEMATICAL REASONING PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI PERMAINAN TRADISIONAL MAGGALASYENG

Kemampuan mathematical reasoning merupakan kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika, namun capaian peserta didik pada materi pola bilangan masih tergolong rendah, khususnya dalam mengenali keteraturan, melakukan generalisasi, dan menarik kesimpulan logis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran virtual reality berbasis permainan tradisional Maggalasyeng yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam memperkuat kemampuan mathematical reasoning peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian melibatkan guru matematika dan peserta didik kelas VIII di dua sekolah menengah pertama. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes mathematical reasoning, angket respons guru dan peserta didik, observasi, serta wawancara dengan pendekatan mixed method. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat validitas sebesar 91,2% dengan kategori sangat valid, kepraktisan sebesar 88,6% dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan keefektifan sebesar 86,4% dengan kategori efektif. Peningkatan kemampuan mathematical reasoning peserta didik ditunjukkan oleh nilai effect size sebesar 5,503 dengan kategori sangat tinggi serta Indeks Prestasi Kelompok rata-rata sebesar 93,8%. Integrasi permainan tradisional Maggalasyeng dalam media pembelajaran berbasis virtual reality mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang interaktif, kontekstual, dan bermakna. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai inovasi pembelajaran matematika yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dan teknologi digital.
