Abstract

Pemahaman konsep sangat penting sebagai pondasi dari pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman konsep harus diterapkan sejak dini. Karena jika sudah terjadi kesalahan di awal akan berdampak buruk untuk ke depannya. Model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PJBL) telah menjadi pendekatan yang populer dalam lingkungan pendidikan karena mengintegrasikan pembelajaran aktif, kolaboratif, dan situasional. Model pembelajaran ini bersifat kelompok yang akan menciptakan kerjasama, diskusi dan bermain pada saat pembelajaran. Sehingga model pembelajaran ini juga cocok untuk siswa kelas VII SMP. Fokus penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP kelas VII di salah satu sekolah yang berada di Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengerahui bagaimana kondisi pemahaman konsep siswa.  Selain itu pendekatan kualitatif juga digunakan di penelitian ini. Berikut dengan tes dan wawancaranya. Penelitian ini menghasilkan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa kelas VII SMP masih sangat minim.
