ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN LITERASI MATEMATIS MELALUI PROJECT BASED LEARNING DENGAN PENDEKATAN STEAM

Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan literasi matematis siswa selama pembelajaran berbasis proyek menggunakan STEAM. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMP daerah Bandung dengan melibatkan 26 siswa kelas VII. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif ditambah dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan memberikan tes literasi matematis berbentuk 3 soal uraian dan pengamatan langsung. Indikator literasi matematis yang dipakai, yaitu 1) merumuskan keadaan secara matematis, 2) menggunakan konsep matematika dan 3) mengevaluasi hasil matematika. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua kategori memenuhi kemampuan dalam literasi matematis. Pada soal uraian pertama, semua kategori memenuhi indikator kemampuan dalam literasi matematis. Pada soal uraian kedua, hanya kategori rendah yang tidak memenuhi. Sedangkan soal uraian ketiga hanya kategori tinggi yang memenuhi. Oleh karena itu, kategori tinggi dari jawaban siswa yang paling baik dibandingkan dua kategori lainnya. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi literasi matematis dari setiap individu antara lain perilaku belajar matematika dari setiap individu, motivasi belajar, dan lingkungan kelas.
