Tujuan Studi ini mengetahui evaluasi dari implementasi asesmen diagnostik pada model Project Based Learning (PjBL) di SMPN 3 Sine. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah teknik kualitatif. Tuntutan penerapan kurikulum Merdeka ini memunculkan banyak administrasi mengajar baru bagi guru. salah satunya asesmen atau penilaian pada kurikulum merdeka. Penilaian yang digunakan dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka untuk mengimplementasikan P5 atau Projek Penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila. Dalam penelitian ini, Asesmen diagnostik dibagi menjadi non-kognitif dan kognitif. asesmen diagnostik merupakan Diagnosa awal yang sangat penting dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan dasar setiap peserta didik. dari hasil asesmen diagnostik, guru bisa menciptakan kegiatan belajar yang cocok sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Namun, pada kenyataanya penerapan asesmen diagnostik yang masih baru ini memberikan kebingungan bagi guru. Baik dari segi penyusunan, pelaksanaan dan tindak lanjutnya. Tindaklanjuti dari asesmen diagnostik yaitu penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Dalam kurikulum merdeka, model pembelajaran yang direkomendasikan adalah mode Project Based Learning (PjBL). dimana peserta didik menggunakan proyek untuk fokus pada pembelajaran dunia nyata. Namun kenyataannya guru belum memberikan tindaklanjut yang sesuai dengan alasan tidak semua materi bisa dikaitkan dengan proyek.
