Memori Kolektif Masyarakat Batavia dalam Novel Al-Masih: Putra sang Perawan Karya Tasaro GK

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui memori kolektif masyarakat Batavia dalam novel Al-Masih: Putra sang Perawan karya Tasaro GK. Penelitan ini menggunakan teori memori Barbara A. Misztal. Pendekatan yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif guna membantu menjawab fokus penelitian dengan cara mendeskripsikan data. Sumber data penelitian ini diperoleh dari kutipan novel Al-Masih: Putra sang Perawan karya Tasaro GK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga bentuk memori kolektif dalam novel Al-Masih: Putra sang Perawan, yaitu (1) memori flashbulb masyarakat Batavia meliputi perbudakan, penyerangan raja Jawa ke Batavia, perlakuan kompeni kepada orang Jawa, kelompok Bhairawa, dan monopoli perdagangan, (2) memori generasi meliputi cara mencuci pakaian masyarakat Batavia dan kebiasaan menyirih perempuan-perempuan Batavia, dan (3) memori tradisi meliputi tradisi pernikahan Etnis Moor, tradisi perayaan tahun baru Etnis Tionghoa, dan tata krama.
