Pengembangan Modul Sensori Integrasi untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Inisiatif Anak Usia 5 - 6 Tahun di TK Refah Kotapinang

Kemampuan inisiatif merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan anak usia dini, namun praktik pembelajaran masih banyak berfokus pada aktivitas rutin dan berpusat pada guru sehingga kurang memberikan kesempatan bagi anak untuk berinisiatif. Kondisi ini menimbulkan kesenjangan antara kebutuhan pengembangan potensi anak dengan ketersediaan media pembelajaran yang mendukung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan modul Sensori Integrasi yang sesuai dengan karakteristik anak usia 5-6 tahun, (2) mengetahui tingkat kelayakan modul tersebut, serta (3) menguji efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan inisiatif anak. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Subjek penelitian adalah 15 anak kelompok B di TK Refah Kotapinang, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Selatan, Sumatera Utara. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi, ahli bahasa, dan ahli media, sedangkan efektivitas diuji melalui pretest dan posttest menggunakan instrumen kemampuan inisiatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) modul Sensori Integrasi berhasil dikembangkan secara sistematis melalui tahap 4D dan menghasilkan produk berupa panduan guru, kartu aktivitas sensori, lembar kerja anak, panduan orang tua, serta instrumen penilaian; (2) hasil validasi ahli menempatkan modul pada kategori sangat layak dengan skor rata-rata 87,3%, sehingga dapat digunakan dengan revisi minor; dan (3) uji coba lapangan terbatas memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan signifikan kemampuan inisiatif anak, dengan nilai N-Gain pada kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Dengan demikian, modul Sensori Integrasi yang dikembangkan terbukti layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan inisiatif anak usia 5-6 tahun.
