Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Bagaimanakah pemahaman relasional siswa sebelum dan setelah penerapan strategi assesment search siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Bajo? (2) Apakah peningkatan pemahaman relasional siswa yang diajar dengan strategi assessment search lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajar dengan strategi konvensional? (3) Apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman relasional siswa yang diajar dengan strategi assessment search dengan siswa yang diajar dengan strategi konvensional pada siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Bajo?. Satuan eksperimen dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX. Berdasarkan analisis data secara deskriptif dan inferensial yaitu (1) Hasil pemahaman relasional siswa sebelum dan setelah diterapkan strategi assesmant search  pada siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Bajo secara berturut-turut berada pada kategori kurang dan baik. (2) Peningkatan pemahaman relasional siswa yang belajar dengan strategi assesmant search lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan strategi konvensional pada siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Bajo. (3) Ada perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman relasional siswa yang diajar dengan strategi assesmant search lebih baik dibandingkan daripada siswa yang diajar strategi konvensional pada siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Bajo. Dengan demikian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa, strategi assessment search dapat meningkatkan pemahaman relasional siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Bajo.
