PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DITINJAU DARI TINGKAT ADVERSITY QUOTIENT (AQ)

Kemampuan berpikir kreatif dapat mendorong siswa untuk menemukan ide, menghasilkan sebuah gagasan serta konsep baru sehingga dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam matematika. Salah satu tantangan utama dalam menghadapi abad 21 adalah mengembangkan kemampuan siswa untuk berpikir secara kreatif. Fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa saat ini masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini juga dipengaruhi oleh ketahanan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk memperoleh peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model PBL dan model pembelajaran langsung, serta (2) untuk melihat interaksi antara model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan tingkat Adversity Quotient siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi-eksperimen. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-C sebagai kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen, dimana terdapat seorang siswa pada tingkat quitters, 21 siswa pada tingkat campers, dan 9 siswa pada tingkatan climbers. Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol, terdapat kategori AQ siswa pada kelas kontrol terdiri dari 4 siswa pada tingkat quitters, 22 siswa pada tingkat campers, dan 5 siswa pada tingkat climbers. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket Adversity Response Profile (ARP) dan tes berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) peningkatan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,50, dan termasuk dalam kategori sedang, (2) Semakin tinggi AQ siswa maka semakin tinggi kemampuan berpikir kreatifnya. Artinya, terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran PBL dan tingkat AQ siswa.
