Literasi matematika merupakan kemampuan individu dalam merumuskan, menggunakan, dan menafsirkan masalah matematika dalam berbagai konteks, termasuk penggunan prosedur, konsep, fakta dan alat matematika dalam penggambaran suatu fenomena atau peristiwa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, kemampuan literasi matematis siswa saat ini masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar digital berbasis Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu SMP yang terletak di Percut Sei Tuan. Pemilihan lokasi ini didasarkan pada fakta bahwa sekolah tersebut belum pernah menggunakan bahan ajar digital berbasis Problem Based Learning sebagai sumber belajar matematika. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2023/2024, dengan subjek penelitian yaitu kelas VIII-1 dengan jumlah 32 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah bahan ajar digital berbasis Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model ADDIE, yang terdiri dari tahapan analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar digital berbasis Problem Based Learning memenuhi kriteria validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan.
