Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi adanya permasalahan yaitu kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di dalam kelas cenderung monoton hanya berpusat pada guru yang menggunakan metode ceramah saat mengajar, serta ketersediaan bahan ajar sebagai alat bantu yang digunakan guru dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas masih terbatas. Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi seperti komputer dan laptop juga masih jarang dan bahkan tidak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui validitas isi, bahasa, dan desain media powerpoint, yang dikembangkan, mengetahui kepraktisan media pembelaran powerpoint, serta untuk mengetahui keefektifan media pembelajaran powerpoint dengan pendekatan problem based learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas XI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, validasi, dan tes. Observasi bertujuan untuk menganalisis masalah yang terjadi disekolah, validasi perlu dilakukan untuk menguji kelayakan produk berdasarkan para tim ahli, sedangkan tes dilakukan untuk mengetahui implikasi produk yang telah dikembangkan terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.
