Analisis Nilai-nilai Pendidikan Karakter Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Tuoi Tho Du Doi Karya Phung Quan

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi nilai pendidikan karakter pada tokoh utama, Mung, dalam novel Tuoi Tho Du Doi karya Phung Quan, serta keterkaitannya dengan konteks sosio-historis perang kemerdekaan Vietnam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra Alan Swingewood dan Sapardi Djoko Damono. Data berupa satuan lingual (kata, frasa, dan kalimat) dikumpulkan melalui teknik baca-catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis) menggunakan kerangka teori pendidikan karakter Thomas Lickona yang mencakup komponen pengetahuan moral, perasaan moral, dan tindakan moral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh Mung merepresentasikan enam nilai karakter utama: bakti kepada orang tua, keberanian, ketekunan, ketangguhan, disiplin, dan cinta tanah air. Secara spesifik, pembentukan karakter ini bukan sekadar atribut personal, melainkan hasil dialektika antara individu dengan situasi ekstrem perang melawan kolonialisme Prancis. Nilai keberanian dan ketangguhan Mung terwujud melalui keterlibatannya dalam misi spionase berisiko tinggi dan keteguhan menjaga rahasia militer di bawah tekanan fisik. Studi ini menegaskan bahwa novel tersebut berfungsi sebagai medium pendidikan karakter yang merepresentasikan idealisme manusia Vietnam, sekaligus menunjukkan bahwa sastra anak mampu memotret realitas perang secara kompleks untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran moral generasi muda.
