Strategi Pembelajar Pemula Bahasa Prancis di Perguruan Tinggi

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas strategi pembelajar pemula bahasa Prancis di tingkat perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kombinasi antara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang dibagikan secara daring pada tanggal 20 Maret 2021 kepada 25 responden mahasiswa baru angkatan 2020/2021 pada Program Studi Sastra Prancis Universitas Padjadjaran. Responden dipilih secara acak dari populasi seluruh mahasiswa angkatan tersebut. Data selanjutnya diklasifikasi, diinterpretasi, dan dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mendapatkan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai strategi pembelajar pemula bahasa Prancis. Landasan teoretis tentang strategi belajar terutama berasal dari Isyam dan Cyr. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para responden yang menjadi representasi mahasiswa pemula pembelajar bahasa Prancis menunjukkan telah menerapkan sebagian besar strategi belajar bahasa asing yang diajukan oleh Isyam. Strategi belajar yang dimaksud meliputi:menemukan strategi belajar yang paling cocok, mengatur informasi bahasa dan program belajar, belajar hidup dengan ketidakpastian, membiarkan konteks membantu, belajar menerka dengan benar, mempelajari kalimat-kalimat atau ungkapan secara keseluruhan, dan mempelajari kebiasaan yang melekat pada penutur asli. Para responden juga telah mempraktikkan strategi belajar menurut Cyr, yaitu strategi metakognitif, kognitif, dan sosio-afektif.
