KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS STATISTIKA SISWA SMP MELALUI LKPD DENGAN PENDEKATAN CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING (CTL)

Abstract
Penguasaan berpikir kritis statistika siswa SMP di Indonesia masih tergolong lemah, khususnya dalam memahami, mengevaluasi, dan menyimpulkan data statistika. Kondisi ini tercermin dari rendahnya penguasaan siswa pada materi statistika, termasuk ukuran pemusatan data, yang menuntut kemampuan bernalar dan berpikir kritis, bukan sekadar hafalan prosedur. Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan pendekatan pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yang dapat merangsang kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan perkembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis statistika siswa SMP melalui implementasi Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada materi ukuran pemusatan data. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods sederhana dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah 30 siswa kelas VIII SMP. Instrumen berupa soal uraian pretest dan posttest yang disusun mengacu pada indikator berpikir kritis statistika dari P. A. Facione, yaitu interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, inferensi, dan eksplanasi. Analisis data melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta didukung oleh perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 8,50 meningkat menjadi 72,07 pada posttest, dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,70 yang termasuk kategori tinggi. Analisis jawaban siswa menunjukkan peningkatan pada seluruh indikator berpikir kritis statistika, dengan indikator evaluasi dan inferensi mengalami peningkatan. Implementasi LKPD berbasis CTL yang menggunakan data nyata seperti nilai tinggi badan siswa terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir secara kontekstual, analitis, dan kritis dalam mengolah data statistika.
