IMPLEMENTASI PHENOMENON-BASED LEARNING BERBASIS ETNOMATEMATIKA MABBILANG WETTU DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP GEOMETRI DUA DIMENSI

Abstract
Rendahnya pemahaman konsep geometri dua dimensi pada peserta didik sekolah dasar disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang masih bersifat abstrak dan minim mengintegrasikan konteks budaya lokal. Kondisi ini menyebabkan peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam mengenali bentuk, sifat, serta hubungan antarbangun datar secara bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan Phenomenon-Based Learning berbasis etnomatematika Mabbilang Wettu untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geometri dua dimensi peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analyze, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Subjek penelitian sebanyak masing-mmasing 20 peserta didik dari kelas VI UPT SD Inpres 5/81 Tompong Patu dan UPT SD Inpres 5/81 Ponre-Ponre. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes pemahaman konsep matematika, angket, dan validasi ahli. Validator ahli terdiri atas ahli materi matematika, ahli media pembelajaran, dan ahli budaya Bugis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis etnomatematika Mabbilang Wettu memenuhi kriteria valid berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, ahli media, dan ahli budaya dengan kategori valid hingga sangat valid. Implementasi pembelajaran juga menunjukkan kategori praktis berdasarkan respons positif guru dan peserta didik. Hasil efektivitas menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep geometri dua dimensi yang ditandai oleh peningkatan rata-rata hasil posttest dan nilai N-Gain 0,70 atau kategori tinggi. Temuan penelitian membuktikan bahwa integrasi simbol budaya Mabbilang Wettu melalui pendekatan Phenomenon-Based Learning mampu menciptakan pembelajaran geometri yang lebih kontekstual, bermakna, dan mendukung penguatan literasi budaya peserta didik.
