PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TAWS TERINTEGRASI PERMAINAN TRADISIONAL BUGIS “MAPPASAJANG” UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERFIKIR KRITIS SISWA

Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa merupakan kebutuhan mendesak dalam pendidikan abad ke-21 dan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini menguji efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran TAWS (Think-Analysis-Write-Share) yang terintegrasi dengan permainan tradisional Bugis "Mappasajang" dalam proses pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimental dengan dua kelompok yakni kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model TAWS (Think-Analysis-Write-Share) berbasis "Mappasajang" dan kelas kontrol dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional, yang dilakukan di SMAN 6 Bone. Analisis data menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa secara signifikan pada kelas eksperimen, terbukti dari skor pretest dan posttest serta observasi aktivitas belajar. Model ini terbukti tidak hanya efektif secara akademis, namun juga memperkuat pelestarian nilai kearifan lokal melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan menarik. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini mengarah pada pengembangan strategi pembelajaran inovatif berbasis budaya untuk mendukung pendidikan karakter dan kompetensi abad ke-21 siswa.
