PENGARUH KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS V MI MASJID AL-AKBAR SURABAYA

Abstract
Pembelajaran matematika menuntut siswa untuk mampu memecahkan masalah secara sistematis dan logis. Namun, pada kenyataannya tidak sedikit kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang masih berada di kategori rendah. Kondisi ini terlihat dari kesulitan siswa dalam memahami informasi yang terdapat pada soal, menghubungkan konsep yang relevan, serta menentukan strategi penyelesaian yang tepat. Kesulitan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa siswa belum sepenuhnya memiliki keterampilan yang mendukung proses berpikir tingkat tinggi. Keterampilan tersebut berkaitan erat kemampuan berpikir kritis yang berperan penting dalam membantu siswa mengidentifikasi informasi dan menganalisisnya, sehingga dapat mengambil keputusan untuk merencanakan strategi dan menyelesaikan permasalahan secara tepat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain asosiatif kausal. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V MI Masjid Al-Akbar Surabaya, dengan sampel yang ditentukan melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar soal tes, dengan instrumen yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas V MI Masjid Al-Akbar Surabaya, variabel tersebut memberikan kontribusi yang sangat kuat terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.
