EKSPLORASI ETNOMATEMATIKA PADA PERMAINAN PANJAT PINANG

Abstract
Etnomatematika adalah standar konsep matematika dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari yang ditentukan oleh suatu budaya. Budaya yang dimaksud adalah permainan panjat pinang. Pentingnya mempelajari matematika berdasarkan etnomatematika bertujuan untuk mentransformasikan nilai-nilai budaya dan membangun identitas nasional. Hal ini dapat dicapai dengan menggunakan etnomatematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivasi matematika dalam permainan panjat pinang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, dimana peneliti hanya melakukan observasi melalui dokumentasi, wawancara, dan penelitian literatur yang berkaitan dengan permainan panjat pinang. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari konsep matematika dalam permainan panjat pinang, seperti menghitung jumlah bambu yang dibeli dengan menerapkan konsep aritmatika, bambu yang digunakan mengandung konsep geometri bangun ruang bentuk tabung, tempat yang digunakan untuk menggantung hadiah mengandung konsep geometri bangun datar, yaitu lingkaran, hingga proses permainan menerapkan konsep matematika. Dengan adanya konsep matematika dalam proses permainan panjat pinang, diharapkan dapat memberikan dedikasi untuk menjadikan pembelajaran matematika lebih realistis.
