EKSPLORASI PERSEPSI SISWA TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN AI DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS PADA SISWA SMP

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan kecerdasan buatan Artificial Intelligence/AI dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya dalam kaitannya dengan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas siswa kelas VIII SMPN 6 Cibitung. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa memandang AI sebagai alat bantu yang efektif dalam memahami materi matematika, terutama karena kemampuannya memberikan penjelasan secara bertahap dan sistematis. Ditemukan pula kekhawatiran siswa terhadap ketergantungan berlebih dan kebingungan ketika jawaban dari AI tidak sesuai dengan metode guru. Guru juga menyatakan pentingnya pendampingan dalam penggunaan AI agar siswa tetap memprioritaskan proses berpikir. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan literasi digital dan pembelajaran berbasis pemahaman konseptual untuk mendukung penggunaan AI secara optimal dan tidak menggantikan peran guru.
