IMPLEMENTASI MODEL REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION (RME) BERBANTUAN STEMATH TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR MATEMATIS SISWA SMP

Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang dianggap penting dan berperan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Maka dari itu, penguasaan kemampuan berpikir matematis dapat menjadi sarana untuk mengembangkan potensi siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah secara logis dan sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa pada kelas VIII di SMP N 5 Pati. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, dengan bentuk penelitian quasi experimental design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMPN 5 Pati. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 272 siswa. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling, yaitu kelas VIII A dan VIII B. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes kemampuan berpikir matematis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji kesamaan rata-rata, uji t, dan uji N-Gain. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, 1) Rata-rata kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran RME berbantuan media Stemath lebih baik dibandingkan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa yang ajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung. 2) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir matematis dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) berbantuan Stemath.
