PENGARUH DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain Pre Experimental Design tipe One Shot Case Study. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Nu Panembahan dengan sampel kelas VIII A yang ditetapkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Perlakuan yang diberikan berupa pembelajaran menggunakan model Discovery Learning, kemudian diakhiri dengan pemberian post-test. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian berjumlah delapan butir soal yang mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Analisis data meliputi uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan uji regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan software SPSS Versi 30. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata post-test sebesar 67,8 dari 31 siswa yang mengikuti tes. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R square) sebesar 0,084 mengindikasikan bahwa model Discovery Learning berkontribusi sebesar 8,4% terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, sedangkan sisanya 91,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.
