Abstract

Kecemasan matematika adalah kondisi yang tidak menyenangkan, bersifat emosional dan sangat terasa kekuatannya, disertai sensasi fisik yang memperingatkan seseorang terhadap bahaya yang sedang mendekat atau akan terjadi pada siswa yang berkaitan dengan matematika. Pembelajaran matematika terkadang kurang efektif akibat perkembangan kecemasan matematika yang dialami siswa. Jika kecemasan matematika mendominasi pikiran siswa maka siswa akan sulit berfikir dan berkonsentrasi yang akhirnya siswa malas untuk belajar matematika. Hal tersebut dapat mengakibatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa rendah. Semakin tinggi tingkat kecemasan matematika pada siswa maka semakin rendah hasil belajar matematika siswa. Pertanyaan penelitian dalam skripsi ini adalah bagaimana pengaruh kecemasan matematika terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Kristen Makale? Penelitian ini merupakan jenis regresi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan soal tes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh kecemasan matematika terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Kristen Makale. Dengan persamaan regresi linear adalah Ŷ = 110,429 -0,934X dari persamaan tersebut koefisien regresi sebesar -0,934 menyatakan bahwa setiap peningkatan kecemasan matematika siswa akan mempengaruhi hasil belajar sebesar -0,934. Hasil koefisien determinasi diperoleh sebesar 16,4% dan 83,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain.
