ANALISIS KESALAHAN SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL SEGITIGA BERDASARKAN NEWMAN'S ERROR ANALYSIS PADA SISWA KELAS V SD SWASTA MUHAMMADIYAH SEI CABANG

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal segitiga dengan menggunakan prosedur Newman yang mencakup kesalahan membaca, kesalahan memamahi, kesalahan transformasi dan kesalahan keterampilan proses. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksankan di Sekolah SD Swasta Muhammadiyah Sei Cabang pada tanggal 3 mei 2025. Responden yang digunakan dalam peniltian ini berjumlah 20 orang siswa kelas V (lima), pada penilitaian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan membagikan tes berupa 5 soal yang berisikan materi tentang segitiga kesetiap orang responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan membaca terjadi karena siswa mengabaikan informasi dan keluri dalam memahami isi soal, kesalahan memahami terjadi karena kurang memahami maksud dari soal, kesalahan transformasi terjadi karena kurangnya ketelitian siswa dalam mengorganisasi dan menyajikan langkah penyelesaian, kesalahan keterampilan proses terjadi karena siswa kurang teliti dan tidak menuliskan tahap perhitungan sama sekali, dan kesalahan pengkodean terjadi karena tidak menuliskan satuan pada hasil akhir jawaban.
