ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MATEMATIKA KELAS VII MTs

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan peserta didik menyelesaikan soal bangun datar segi empat serta faktor-faktornya. Jenis penelitian adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, tes, angket, dan wawancara. Observasi dilakukan untuk mengamati langsung proses pembelajaran dan kesulitan yang muncul saat peserta didik menyelesaikan soal bangun datar segi empat. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII-B MTs Al-Manar Medan Johor. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik menghadapi berbagai indikator kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal bangun datar segi empat. Kesulitan tersebut meliputi: 1) Menafsirkan kata-kata dan simbol matematika sebesar 66,67%, 2) Mmengerjakan soal karena bahan pelajaran belum dikuasai sebesar 66,67%, 3) Menuliskan informasi yang diketahui dan ditanya 69,33%, 4) Menentukan rumus yang tepat 65,33%, 5) Menggunakan operasi hitung yang benar 68%, dan 6) memberikan kesimpulan dari penyelesaian soal 68,66%. Secara keseluruhan rata-rata persentase kesulitan belajar peserta didik adalah 67,45%, yang menunjukkan tingkat kesulitan yang cukup tinggi dalam menyelesaikan soal bangun datar segi empat.
