Penelitian ini menganalisis kemampuan penalaran deduktif matematis berdasarkan gender di salah satu sekolah di Tasikmalaya. Kemampuan penalaran deduktif matematis di Indonesia belum maksimal, salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi adalah karakteristik gender yaitu maskulin dan feminin. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif eksploratif, instrumen yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner PAQ untuk mengukur karakteristik maskulin dan feminin serta soal tes kemampuan penalaran deduktif matematis pada materi barisan aritmetika tingkat dua. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas XI di salah satu SMA di Tasikmalaya. Hasilnya menunjukkan variasi dalam kemampuan penalaran deduktif matematis antara peserta didik berdasarkan gender, dengan siswa perempuan feminin menunjukkan performa yang lebih baik. yang mana peserta didik laki-laki maskulin dan perempuan maskulin hanya bisa memenuhi dua indikator kemampuan penalaran deduktif yaitu menyusun pembuktian langsung dan menarik kesimpulan logis, kemudian peserta didik laki-laki feminin hanya bisa memenuhi dua indikator kemampuan penalaran deduktif yaitu menyusun pembuktian langsung dan menarik kesimpulan logis. Sedangkan perempuan feminin dapat memenuhi ketiga indikator kemampuan penalaran deduktif matematis. Temuan ini memberikan pemahaman baru tentang kemampuan penalaran deduktif matematis siswa dan mengatasi stereotip bahwa perempuan kurang mampu dalam matematika. Identifikasi perbedaan karakteristik gender dalam pembelajaran matematika penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan matematika secara keseluruhan.
