ETNOMATEMATIKA PADA ORNAMEN MASJID AGUNG KOTA SUKABUMI

Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan hasil kajian etnomatematika pada ornamen Masjid Agung Kota Sukabumi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan etnografi, yaitu memahami dan menggambarkan pola-pola perilaku, kepercayaan, dan bahasa yang dimiliki oleh kelompok budaya yang sedang diteliti. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 2 orang yang merupakan pengurus Masjid Agung Kota Sukabumi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah wawancara, catatan lapangan, observasi, dokumentasi, dan kajian pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa terdapat aspek-aspek etnomatematika pada ornamen-ornamen Masjid Agung Kota Sukabumi yaitu pada kubah, mimbar, jendela, pintu, gagang pintu, tiang, lampu, menara, atap, dan taman. Di mana ornamen-ornamen tersebut dapat dikaitkan dengan beberapa materi geometri, seperti pada konsep bangun datar, bangun ruang, dan transformasi geometri. Oleh karena itu, guru dapat membuat bahan ajar dari hasil kajian etnomatematika tersebut tentang bangun datar, bangun ruang, dan transformasi geometri. Selain itu, perlu mengujicobakan bahan ajar tersebut di kelas pembelajaran matematika untuk mengetahui efektifitasnya.
