KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR ALJABAR SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN SPLDV MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL)
Abstract
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa pada pembelajaran sistem persamaan linear dua variabel (SPLDV) setelah menggunakan pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.1 MTs GUPPI Sukamoro. Teknik Pengumpulan Data dalam penelitian ini adalah Observasi, Tes dan Wawancara. Dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa kelas VIII.1 dalam menyelesaikan tes kemampuan berpikir aljabar setelah menggunakan pendekatan PBL belum mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir aljabar. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil tes siswa yang belum merata dimana terdapat 5 siswa berkemampuan tinggi, 17 siswa berkemampuan sedang dan 5 siswa berkemampuan rendah. Siswa yang berkemampuan berpikir aljabar tinggi mampu memenuhi 6 dari 7 indikator berpikir aljabar. Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir aljabar sedang mampu memenuhi 4 dari 7 indikator kemampuan berpikir aljabar dan siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir aljabar rendah tidak mampu memenuhi seluruh indikator kemampuan berpikir aljabar.
