DESKRIPSI KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS PESERTA DIDIK SMP DALAM MEMECAHKAN SOAL OPERASI HITUNG PECAHAN
Abstract
Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang dipelajari mulai dari sekolah dasar hingga sekolah tinggi. Pada pembelajaran matematika diharuskan memiliki 5 kemampuan dasar diantaranya kemampuan penalaran matematis. Oleh karena itu, memaparkan hasil tes tentang materi operasi hitung pecahan yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan penalaran matematis ini menjadi salah satu tujuan peneliti dalam melakukan penelitiannya. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang merupakan salah satu metode untuk menggambarkan sesuatu yang terjadi. Selain itu, data yang diperoleh peneliti berasal dari 3 peserta didik kelas VII SMP sebagai subjek yang telah menjawab soal tes dengan lengkap dan akan dideskripsikan hasil jawabannya. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa banyaknya peserta didik hanya mampu menggunakan 1 dari 4 indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis terhadap soal permasalahan yang diberikan. Jika melihat hasil jawaban keenam subjek tersebut membuktikan bahwa kemampuan penalaran peserta didik pada pembelajaran matematika masih terbilang rendah.
