PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 19 KABUPATEN MAROS
Abstract
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-experimental yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 19 Kabupaten Maros. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 19 Kabupaten Maros dan sampel yang diambil secara acak atau simple random sampling, yaitu kelas VIII.D dengan jumlah 21 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran. Data penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial dengan uji normalitas sebagai uji prasyarat analisis dan uji paired sample t-test sebagai uji hipotesis. Hasil ananlisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pre-test 51,9 sedangkan rata-rata post-test 74,14. Rata-rata skor gain ternormalisasi 0,45 berada dalam kategori sedang. Berdasarkan uji paired sample t-test diperoleh 0,000 < α = 0,025 yang berarti terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 19 Kabupaten Maros antara sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model problem based learning.
