Pemodelan Faktor-Faktor Penyebab Miskonsepsi Matematis Mahasiswa pada Mata Kuliah Pra-Kalkulus Menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling

Miskonsepsi matematis pada mata kuliah Pra-Kalkulus merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang berpotensi menghambat keberhasilan mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep matematika lanjutan. Fenomena ini tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh aspek kognitif, tetapi juga oleh faktor afektif yang berperan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji model faktor-faktor penyebab miskonsepsi matematis mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Pra-Kalkulus dengan melibatkan pengetahuan awal, self-efficacy matematika, dan mathematics anxiety sebagai variabel prediktor. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei korelasional eksplanatori. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika yang telah menempuh mata kuliah Pra-Kalkulus, dengan sampel sebanyak 300 mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes diagnostik miskonsepsi, tes pengetahuan awal, serta kuesioner self-efficacy matematika dan mathematics anxiety. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS dan didukung analisis deskriptif menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan awal berpengaruh terhadap miskonsepsi matematis baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui self-efficacy dan mathematics anxiety. Self-efficacy matematika berhubungan negatif dengan miskonsepsi matematis, sedangkan mathematics anxiety berhubungan positif dengan miskonsepsi matematis. Selain itu, self-efficacy dan mathematics anxiety berperan sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara pengetahuan awal dan miskonsepsi matematis. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan model empiris penyebab miskonsepsi matematis yang mengintegrasikan faktor kognitif dan afektif serta menjadi dasar bagi perancangan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif untuk mengurangi miskonsepsi mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Pra-Kalkulus.
