Peran Media Digital dalam Pembelajaran IPS di SMP pada Era Transformasi Pendidikan

Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada kebutuhan untuk menyediakan landasan ilmiah dalam mengoptimalkan integrasi teknologi digital guna menjawab tantangan pembelajaran IPS di era transformasi pendidikan.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji peran media digital dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) pada era transformasi pendidikan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) untuk mensintesis hasil penelitian empiris yang dipublikasikan pada periode 2021–2026 melalui penelusuran Google Scholar dengan kata kunci yang relevan. Hasil pencarian awal menghasilkan puluhan ribu artikel yang kemudian diseleksi secara bertahap menjadi 300 artikel berdasarkan judul, 100 artikel berdasarkan abstrak, dan 20 artikel akhir (±20%) yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi, yaitu artikel penelitian empiris, dipublikasikan dalam jurnal ilmiah, dan tersedia dalam akses teks lengkap. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan sintesis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola temuan penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa media digital memiliki peran pedagogis yang signifikan dalam lima domain utama, yaitu visualisasi konsep dan pembelajaran spasial-temporal, interaktivitas dan simulasi, kolaborasi digital dan pengembangan keterampilan abad ke-21, literasi digital dan etika penggunaan media, serta asesmen digital berbasis data. Sebagian besar studi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media digital yang dirancang secara pedagogis dan disertai scaffolding guru mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman konseptual siswa. Namun demikian, implementasi media digital masih menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan infrastruktur, kesenjangan akses teknologi, kesiapan kompetensi guru, serta integrasi bahan ajar digital dengan kurikulum. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perencanaan pembelajaran yang sistematis, penguatan kapasitas guru, serta dukungan kebijakan untuk memastikan pemanfaatan media digital yang efektif dan berkelanjutan dalam pembelajaran IPS.
