Hubungan Academic Self Efficacy dengan Academic Resilience : Tinjauan Berdasarkan Coping Strategy Siswa SMP Walisongo 1 Semarang

Urgensi penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami hubungan antara academic self-efficacy dan academic resilience berdasarkan coping strategy siswa guna meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menghadapi tekanan dan tantangan akademik di SMP Walisongo 1 Semarang. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena siswa pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama sering menghadapi berbagai tekanan akademik yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan untuk bertahan dan beradaptasi dalam proses belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi efikasi diri akademik dan empat dimensi strategi koping terhadap resiliensi akademik pada siswa SMP. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan korelasional pada 117 siswa kelas VII dan VIII yang dipilih melalui teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala resiliensi akademik, efikasi diri akademik, dan strategi koping yang mencakup dimensi problem-focused engagement, problem-focused disengagement, emotion-focused engagement, dan emotion-focused disengagement. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis regresi hierarkis untuk mengetahui kontribusi bertahap masing-masing variabel terhadap resiliensi akademik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri akademik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap resiliensi akademik pada model pertama (R² = 0.141; p < 0.001). Pada model kedua setelah empat dimensi koping dimasukkan, nilai R² meningkat menjadi 0.305 (ΔR² = 0.164; p < 0,001). Namun, hanya koping berfokus pada emosi (emotion-focused engagement) yang signifikan (β = 0.333; p < 0.001), sedangkan ketiga dimensi lainnya tidak signifikan. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan pentingnya penguatan efikasi diri akademik dan keterampilan regulasi emosi dalam upaya meningkatkan resiliensi akademik siswa SMP melalui intervensi pendidikan.
