UJI TOKSISITAS EKSTRAK DAUN SERAI (Cymbopogon citratus) TERHADAP LARVA Artemia salina BERDASARKAN METODE BRINE SHRIMP LETHALITY TEST (BSLT)

Serai (Cymbopogon citratus) mengandung berbagai senyawa metabolit sekunder yang berpotensi memiliki aktivitas toksik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat toksisitas ekstrak daun serai terhadap larva Artemia salina menggunakan metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) serta menentukan nilai LC₅₀. Ekstrak daun serai diuji pada konsentrasi 435 ppm, 465 ppm, dan 495 ppm. Parameter yang diamati adalah mortalitas larva setelah 24 jam perlakuan dan data dianalisis menggunakan analisis probit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata mortalitas tertinggi diperoleh pada konsentrasi 495 ppm sebesar 57,58%. Analisis probit menghasilkan nilai LC₅₀ sebesar 482,719 ppm. Nilai tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun serai bersifat toksik terhadap larva Artemia salina karena memiliki nilai LC₅₀ di bawah 1000 ppm.
