UJI EFEKTIVITAS HIPOKOLESTEROLEMIK JUS BUAH BUNI (Antidesma bunius Linn.) PADA MENCIT JANTAN (Mus musculus)

Hiperkolesterolemia adalah kondisi dimana terjadi gangguan metabolisme dalam darah yang disebabkan oleh kadar lemak dalam darah yang melebihi batas normal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui uji efek hipokolesterolemik jus buah buni (Antidesma bunius L) pada mencit(Mus musculus). Pada penelitian ini menggunakan 25 ekor mencit yang dikelompokkan secara acak menjadi lima kelompok perlakuan, yaitu kontrol positif dan kontrol negatif, jus buah buni 5%, 10% dan 15% yang diberikan secara per oral. Pengukuran kadar kolesterol total diukur pada hari ke-0, hari ke-15 dan hari ke-30. Data kadar kolesterol dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan dilanjutkan uji lanjutan Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jus buah buni pada konsentrasi 5%, 10% dan 15% memiliki efek menurunkan kadar kolesterol sangat berbeda signifikan dibandingkan dengan kontrol negatif dan konsentrasi jus 15% memiliki efek yang tidak berbeda signifikan dengan kontrol positif.
