Kemampuan Computational Thinking Siswa dalam Menyelesaikan Masalah Matematika Berbasis Budaya Ditinjau dari Gender

Kemampuan berpikir komputasional (computational thinking) merupakan keterampilan penting abad ke-21 yang membantu siswa menyelesaikan masalah secara logis, sistematis, dan efisien. Namun, kemampuan ini masih belum berkembang optimal dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir komputasional siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika berbasis budaya ditinjau dari gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 33 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Mataram. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes berpikir komputasional yang terdiri atas satu soal matematika berbasis budaya lokal suku Sasak. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif melalui perhitungan skor, kategorisasi, dan persentase kemampuan siswa berdasarkan gender. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar kemampuan berpikir komputasional siswa berada pada kategori sedang (84,84%), satu siswa (3,03%) berada pada kategori tinggi, dan empat siswa (12,12%) berada pada kategori rendah. Ditinjau dari gender, siswa perempuan menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir komputasional yang lebih stabil dan konsisten dibandingkan siswa laki-laki. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor gender memengaruhi perbedaan strategi berpikir dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika berbasis budaya, sehingga guru perlu mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang adaptif terhadap karakteristik gender siswa.
