Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk dan tujuan penggunaan strategi ketidaksantunan berbahasa dalam debat isu Ijazah Palsu Jokowi di kanal YouTube Official iNews. Penelitian ini penting untuk dilakukan guna memahami fenomena degradasi etika komunikasi dalam diskursus politik di ruang digital yang berpotensi memicu polarisasi publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori ketidaksantunan dari Jonathan Culpeper dalam kerangka sosiopragmatik. Data penelitian ini merupakan transkrip argumen para tokoh dalam debat yang dikumpulkan melalui teknik simak dan catat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari total 305 tuturan, terdapat 107 yang tergolong dalam 5 jenis ketidaksantunan, dengan persentase kemunculan pada ketidaksantunan langsung 19%, ketidaksantunan positif 34%, ketidaksantunan negatif 19%, sarkasme dan ejekan 10%, dan ketidaksantunan tidak langsung 18%. Tujuan penggunaan strategi tersebut didominasi oleh upaya meruntuhkan kredibilitas lawan secara terbuka, mempertahankan argumen, dan mendelegitimasi otoritas pihak lawan dalam konfrontasi verbal.  Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis bagi pengembangan studi pragmatik mengenai ketidaksantunan dalam konfrontasi verbal dan menjadi sumber referensi masyarakat dalam menjaga etika komunikasi di ruang publik digital.

    Prof. Dr. Teguh Setiawan, M.Hum. adalah Guru Besar (Profesor) di bidang Linguistik pada program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). Sebagai seorang akademisi dan peneliti, beliau memiliki kepakaran yang mendalam dalam ranah pragmatik, sosiolinguistik, dan analisis wacana. Dedikasi ilmiah beliau secara konsisten dituangkan dalam berbagai bimbingan riset akademik tingkat lanjut serta publikasi ilmiah kontemporer yang berfokus pada dinamika penggunaan bahasa di masyarakat, termasuk analisis kritis terhadap konfrontasi verbal, siber-pragmatik, dan penegakan etika komunikasi di ruang publik digital
