Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan resepsi pembaca terhadap representasi kekerasan pada masyarakat adat Kajang dalam novel Kalihara karya Jusiman Dessirua berdasarkan teori kekerasan Johan Galtung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif-interpretatif. Data berupa kutipan naratif novel dan respons tertulis pembaca terhadap kekerasan, trauma, resistensi, serta relasi agama, adat, dan identitas. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumentasi, pembacaan cermat, dan kuesioner terbuka, lalu dianalisis berdasarkan kategori kekerasan langsung, struktural, dan kultural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembaca meresepsi kekerasan dalam Kalihara sebagai kekerasan berlapis. Kekerasan langsung tampak melalui pembantaian, penembakan, pemerkosaan, pembakaran, dan pembunuhan. Kekerasan struktural dipahami melalui kerentanan masyarakat Kajang akibat ketimpangan kuasa dan lemahnya perlindungan terhadap adat, tanah, dan hutan. Kekerasan kultural dimaknai melalui fanatisme, pemaksaan keyakinan, dan delegitimasi budaya lokal. Novel ini memperluas kesadaran pembaca tentang trauma kolektif, martabat masyarakat adat, toleransi, dan keberagaman.
