Analisis Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa pada Pembelajaran Teks Eksplanasi Kelas IX di Mtsn 1 Subang

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IX MTsN 1 Subang dalam memahami teks eksplanasi. Kemampuan berpikir kritis yang dikaji mencakup kemampuan mengidentifikasi informasi penting, menganalisis hubungan sebab akibat, mengevaluasi informasi, dan menarik kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa yang ditetapkan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kelas, wawancara semi terstruktur, dan tugas tertulis berbasis teks eksplanasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa masih berada pada kategori rendah hingga sedang. Sebagian besar siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengidentifikasi informasi inti, membangun hubungan sebab akibat secara logis, serta mengevaluasi relevansi dan keakuratan informasi dalam teks. Kelemahan pada tahap awal berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menarik kesimpulan secara tepat. Faktor yang memengaruhi kondisi tersebut meliputi keterbatasan strategi membaca kritis, rendahnya pemahaman konsep ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan teks eksplanasi, serta model pembelajaran yang belum sepenuhnya mendorong penalaran tingkat tinggi. Oleh karena itu, penguatan strategi membaca kritis dan integrasi literasi ilmiah perlu dioptimalkan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.
