Representasi Identitas Diaspora Arab-Magribi di Prancis dalam Film Youssef Salem a du succès: Analisis Multimodal

Abstract
Penelitian ini menganalisis representasi identitas diaspora Arab-Magribi di Prancis dalam film Youssef Salem a du succès (2023) menggunakan pendekatan wacana multimodal berbasis semiotika sosial. Melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif, data berupa tangkapan layar adegan dan transkripsi dialog dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik simak-catat. Data diklasifikasikan berdasarkan tema, lalu dianalisis menggunakan kerangka tiga metafungsi Halliday (ideasional, interpersonal, dan tekstual) untuk mengungkap konstruksi makna identitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film ini merepresentasikan identitas diaspora Arab-Magribi sebagai entitas yang tidak stabil dan terus dinegosiasikan dalam ruang sosial Prancis. Secara semiotik, representasi tersebut dibangun melalui sinergi antara tuturan verbal, ekspresi gestural, relasi antartokoh, serta komposisi visual yang secara simultan memproduksi makna mengenai marginalisasi, konflik identitas, dan beban representasi etnis. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa dalam konteks sinematik, identitas diaspora tidak hanya hadir sebagai wacana linguistik, tetapi juga sebagai praktik makna yang terwujud melalui interaksi sosial dan elemen visual. Dengan demikian, pendekatan multimodal semiotika sosial terbukti efektif dalam membedah kompleksitas identitas diaspora dalam media visual.
