Diskriminasi Ekologis dalam Film Pendek Migrants (2020) Melalui Kajian Ecocinema

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi bentuk representasi diskriminasi ekologis antar spesies yang muncul melalui unsur visual, simbolik, dan naratif dalam film pendek Migrants (2020) karya Hugo Caby, Antoine Dupriez, Aubin Kubiak, Lucas Lermytte, dan Zoé Devise, serta menjelaskan bagaimana representasi tersebut membangun kesadaran ekologis penonton. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan ecocinema (Lavin & Kaplan, 2017) dan ekokritik (Harsono, 2008) dengan metode analisis tekstual film (Bordwell & Thompson, 2008) yang berfokus pada mise-en-scène, sinematografi, warna, dan simbol animasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Migrants merepresentasikan diskriminasi ekologis melalui oposisi visual antara beruang kutub dan beruang coklat yang menandai relasi kuasa dan ketimpangan ekologis. Warna dingin dan hangat, gestur tubuh, serta framing digunakan untuk menegaskan penolakan ekologis terhadap pendatang dan keterasingan ruang hidup. Melalui metafora migrasi, jebakan, dan penggiringan, film ini menghadirkan kritik implisit terhadap perilaku antroposentris manusia. Sebagai fabel ekologis, Migrants membangun empati ekologis dan mendorong pembacaan mengenai krisis lingkungan di era antroposen.
