Abstract
Penelitian ini berfokus pada sikap bahasa generasi Z terhadap bahasa Indonesia, bahasa daerah, dan bahasa Inggris di Kampung Inggris Pare. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kecenderungan persepsi atau penilaian generasi Z terhadap bahasa-bahasa dikuasai dan umum digunakan sehari-hari di wilayah penelitian, yaitu bahasa Indonesia, bahasa daerah, dan bahasa Inggris. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian ini mengolah data statistik dari hasil penyebaran kuesioner sikap bahasa untuk mengetahui kecenderungan responden terhadap bahasa Indonesia, bahasa daerah, dan bahasa Inggris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap generasi Z terhadap bahasa Indonesia, bahasa daerah, dan bahasa Inggris menunjukkan nilai positif. Bahasa Inggris mendapatkan nilai indeks tertinggi yaitu 0,78. Bahasa Indonesia mendapatkan nilai indeks 0,73. Kemudian, bahasa daerah mendapatkan nilai indeks 0,69. Bahasa daerah mendapat nilai indeks paling rendah dan memiliki selisih yang cukup jauh dengan bahasa Inggris. Hal itu menunjukkan bahwa generasi Z di Kampung Inggris Pare lebih memilih bahasa Inggris daripada bahasa daerah, sedangkan bahasa Indonesia berada di posisi pilihan kedua karena dianggap sebagai bahasa yang netral. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran terhadap kecenderungan generasi Z di Kampung Inggris Pare dalam menilai dan memilih bahasa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
