Modalitas pada Wacana Kelas: Kajian Linguistik Sistemik Fungsional

Artikel ini memaparkan bentuk modalitas yang digunakan oleh guru dalam membingkai pembelajaran di dalam kelas dengan menggunakan teori Linguistik Sistemik Fungsional Halliday. Data dalam bentuk transkripsi rekaman tuturan guru selama proses pembelajaran di dalam kelas dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori Halliday. Analisis data menghasilkan Modalitas yang paling dominan adalah modalitas probabilitas pada derajat menengah.. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa guru menyampaikan informasi dan ilmu pengetahuan masih penuh keraguan. Penggunaan modulasi yang paling dominan adalah modulasi kecenderungan yang menyatakan pendapat guru dalam menuntut siswa untuk aktif dalam membangkitkan minta dan rasa ingin tahu dan memancing kemauan siswa dalam informasi atau ilmu pengetahuan yang dibahas.
