Abstract
Konsep maskulinitas dapat bergeser sesuai dengan kondisi budaya dan sosial. Konsep baru maskulinitas tergambarkan pada banyak kebudayaan. Salah satunya pada lirik lagu sebuah musik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan representasi maskulinitas lelaki abad 21 dalam lirik lagu pop Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis isi pada lirik lagu. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dari lagu pop berjudul “Komang” karya Raim Laode, “Duka” dari Last Child, dan “Rumah Singgah” karya Fabio Asher. Pemilihan lagu tersebut didasarkan pada Top Spotify Indonesia tahun 2023. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara simak dan catat. Teori maskulinitas yang digunakan, yaitu teori maskulintas Janet Saltzman Chafetz. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa terdapat 3 ciri maskulinitas yang merepresentasikan lelaki abad 21, yaitu ciri emosional, intelektual, dan karakter pribadi. Representasi emosional, yang di dalamnya terdapat dua temuan yakni lelaki dengan kontrol emosi stabil dan tidak stabil dalam tiga lagu top Indonesia tersebut. Selanjutnya ciri dimensi intelektual dalam temuan ini ditemukan bahwa laki-laki berpikir logis. Selain dimensi di atas, juga terdapat ciri dimensi karakter pribadi yang terdiri dari karakter pribadi egois, karakter pribadi bangga, dan karakter pribadi moral. Persepsi terhadap maskulinitas diharapkan mampu lebih inklusif dan reflektif. Tentunya agar terjadi kesetaraan gender dalam kehidupan sehari-sehari.
