ETIKA PELEPASLIARAN SATWA HASIL REHABILITASI OLEH LEMBAGA KONSERVASI OIC: ANTARA KESEJAHTERAAN INDIVIDU DAN KEBERLANJUTAN POPULASI

Konflik antara manusia dan orangutan menjadi tantangan dalam upaya konservasi, sehingga diperlukan proses rehabilitasi dan pelepasliaran satwa ke habitat alaminya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji aspek bioetika dalam pelepasliaran satwa hasil rehabilitasi, khususnya dalam menyeimbangkan kesejahteraan individu dan keberlanjutan populasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif melalui kajian literatur dan analisis proses rehabilitasi serta pelepasliaran oleh lembaga konservasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pelepasliaran meliputi beberapa tahapan penting, yaitu pemeriksaan kondisi satwa, transportasi, dan pelepasan ke habitat alami. Keberhasilan pelepasliaran dipengaruhi oleh kesiapan fisik dan perilaku satwa, serta kondisi habitat rilis. Secara bioetika, keputusan pelepasliaran perlu mempertimbangkan kesejahteraan individu tanpa mengabaikan stabilitas populasi liar. Dengan demikian, pelepasliaran satwa harus dilakukan secara terencana dan berbasis pertimbangan ilmiah agar mendukung keberlanjutan ekosistem.
