KARAKTERISTIK HABITAT DAN EKOLOGI IKAN CUPANG ALAM RENTAN PUNAH Betta cf uberis Tan & Ng, 2006 (Anabantiformes:Oshpronemidae) ASAL PERAIRAN BELITUNG: DASAR KONSERVASI

Betta cf uberis merupakan ikan cupang alam atau wild betta yang tercatat ditemukan di Pulau Belitung, Indonesia. Populasinya terancam punah di alam akibat kerusakan habitat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan B. cf uberis asal Belitung berdasarkan ciri alami habitat dan ekologi. Pengambilan data dilakukan di Desa Dukong, Kecamatan Simpang Pesak, Kabupaten Belitung Timur, dianalisis secara deskriptif eksploratif. Hasil yang diperoleh, Betta cf uberis perairan Belitung memiliki ciri habitat perairan rawa, dan dasar perairan berupa tanah basah berisikan gambut, tipe substrat berupa serasah daun dan akar pohon yang tenggelam serta ciri air berwarna coklat hingga kehitaman. Secara ekologi, B. cf uberis hidup berdampingan dengan 13 spesies ikan air tawar dan 3 spesies tumbuhan, salah satunya endemik Bangka Belitung yaitu Cryptocoryne bankanensis. Nilai kualitas air yang diperoleh, pH (4-5), suhu (27-28oC), oksigen terlarut (3.0 mg/L), dan Total Dissolve Solid/total padatan terlarut (0011 ppm). Kondisi habitat B. cf uberis dengan perairan rawa asam berisikan gambut mendukung hidupnya berbagai spesies ikan air tawar dan beberapa vegetasi, termasuk tumbuhan endemik. Adanya informasi mengenai ciri habitat dan ekologi Betta uberis untuk mengetahui keberadaan dan ciri habitat yang disukai B. cf uberis sebagai dasar konservasi.
