Expire Date (ED), atau masa kedaluwarsa obat setelah diproduksi oleh pabrik farmasi, adalah batas waktu penyimpanan obat dalam masyarakat. Penentuan masa kedaluwarsa obat setelah kemasan primer obat dibuka memiliki arti yang berbeda. Bukan ED, tetapi Beyond Use Date (BUD). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan pasien tentang obat steril beyond use date (BUD) dan implikasi manajerialnya di Apotek Kimia Farma X. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Studi ini dilakukan di Apotek Kimia Farma X Semarang dari Juni hingga Agustus 2022. Digunakan rumus Slovin untuk menghitung sampel 100 responden, dengan estimasi populasi 3.600 responden. Metode purposive sampling digunakan untuk mengumpulkan sampel yang sudah memenuhi persyaratan inklusi dan eksklusi. Tingkat pengetahuan pasien tentang obat steril Beyond Use Date (BUD) dipelajari secara deskriptif dengan menghitung persentasenya menggunakan rumus P = x/n x 100%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 64,6% pasien memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang pelayanan informasi tentang obat steril Beyond Use Date (BUD). Ini menunjukkan bahwa pasien memahami cara penggunaan dan penyimpanan obat menggunakan sistem BUD.
